GRONINGER MUSEUM
The Bamboo Shiver Forest. A room in the museum is filled with a few thousand bamboo sticks, criss-crossed together. There is a labyrinth through this stick forest that you can wander through. There are vibrating sticks in the forest. These will vibrate as soon as you touch them. Light and shadow, vibrating sound and silence alternate and visitors can experience the beauty of chaos. If you come into a strange, unusual environment you can be surprised. Your senses are stimulated and you are challenged to interact, to participate. You have to discover and explore by going deeper into the forest. With the shivering forest, visitors can decide for themselves, while playing, how far they let the chaos go.
